This week I had an outstanding order for a 360° tour for Norton Canes at Glascote Basin. The delay was not just due to the endless rain, but also the wind. It always worries me that the tripod will blow over and my expensive equipment will land in the canal! Yesterday, the sun finally came out, and I was able to do the photography at last.

Narrowboat Fenny is an old Harland and Wolff boat, built in 1937 for the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company. In the 1960s she was shortened by British Waterways to the practical and popular length of 57 feet. She has a thoroughly vintage feel, with a traditional boatman's cabin featuring a heron and a map of Victoria, Australia. There's also a good sized fresh-looking cabin that includes a shower room, a galley, a seating area, and a cosy double berth snuggled under the deck of the hold.
