A started this week off with a lovely commission to photograph Pathfinder 2, a 62 ft traditional narrowboat for sale at Glascote Basin. She was built by Roger Fuller, who has a particularly stellar reputation for the quality of his narrowboats.
Pathfinder 2 has a Gardner engine, and the fit out is very personal in style, with rich amber varnish, lots of pillar box red paintwork, and a uniquely painted boatman's cabin. A rather useful feature is that the dining area, which converts to a double berth, is enclosed in its own cabin, making Pathfinder 2 ideal for both cruising and entertaining. Another welcome feature for guests is the pull-down table in the cratch.
