Autumn has well and truly arrived on the Coventry Canal. It's amazing how much the scenery has changed since I went away to Portugal. Now there are beautiful gold and orange autumn leaves dappling the sky and reflecting on the surface of the canal. The colder months have a curious consequence when you live in a canalside home. This morning I looked out of the window and saw that there was barely any water in the pound, and the boats which moor there were sitting on their bottoms at a precarious angle. Ah, so the chilly boaters in a hurry have returned - the ones who take advantage of the darkness to rush through the locks, leaving the gates ajar or the paddles not quite closed. At 8am this morning I was out with my windlass, setting things to rights!
Today I am implementing some changes as a result of a helpful consultation with members (thank you to everyone who responded). My hope is that these changes will allow me to continue producing my canalside property lists.
- I will continue listing houses, land, development opportunities, and park homes, but I will stop listing flats, apartments, maisonettes, and duplexes.
- Non-subscribers will now be able to see the first property in each list. This will help people to see what listings look like, and should help search engines to see and rank my posts.
- The subscription price will go up in November - this was the most frequently suggested change!
